How to Install Watchlist Pro on Android TV or Mobile
Two devices, two different methods. Pick the one that matches what you are holding.
Phone or tablet
Requires Android 5.1 or newer.
- Open the mobile download in your phone's browser. The download starts automatically.
- Android will warn you that this type of file can harm your device. That warning appears for every APK, regardless of source. Tap Download anyway.
- Open your Downloads folder and tap the file.
- If Android says installs from this source are blocked, tap Settings in that dialog, switch on Allow from this source, then go back and tap the file again.
- Tap Install, then Open.
The permission you switched on in step 4 applies only to the browser you downloaded with. You can switch it back off afterwards; the app keeps working.
Android TV, TV Box or TV Stick
Requires Android 4.2 or newer. A TV has no Downloads folder and usually no easy way to browse the web, so you need a sideloading helper.
- On your TV, open the Google Play Store and install Downloader by AFTVnews. It is free. (If you prefer, the same file is at the TV download.)
- Open your TV's settings and find Security & restrictions (sometimes under Device Preferences). Turn on Unknown sources for Downloader.
- Open Downloader. In the address box, type the code 4869733 and press Go.
- Downloader fetches the TV build and offers to install it. Confirm.
- When the install finishes, delete the downloaded file when prompted — it frees up space and the app is already installed.
If your TV runs Android TV and has the Play Store, you can also search for Watchlist Pro TV there and install it the normal way.
After the install: connect a cloud
The app opens to an empty library. That is expected — Watchlist Pro plays content from a cloud you connect, it does not ship with a library of its own.
- Open the app and go to the Cloud section.
- Choose + Add cloud.
- To use a link someone gave you, pick Add from Internet and paste the link.
- To connect your own storage, pick Add new, choose your provider (Mega or Redboxes are supported), and sign in.
- Press OK. The app scans the cloud and sorts what it finds into categories.
If you are connecting your own storage, the files need to sit in a folder named videoshare or videoupload in the root of the cloud. Subfolders inside that are fine. Files outside it will not be picked up.
